A Cultural Retrospective with BE@RBRICK Collaborations and Exclusive Goods

To celebrate 30 years of Tamagotchi, Bandai presents a large-scale exhibition in Tokyo, exploring how this small digital pet became a global cultural icon.
Held at Roppongi Museum, the exhibition traces Tamagotchi’s history through immersive installations, character rooms, and design storytelling — rather than a simple product showcase.
Immersive World-Building Experience

Visitors enter through a giant Tamagotchi-shaped gate, symbolically “diving into the screen.”
The exhibition focuses on:
-
Character growth and care mechanics
-
Distinct personalities such as Mametchi and Kuchipatchi
-
Behind-the-scenes development stories from the 1990s
The result is a nostalgic yet thoughtfully curated cultural experience.
BE@RBRICK × Tamagotchi Exclusive Collaboration
One of the exhibition’s highlights is the collaboration with BE@RBRICK, produced by MEDICOM TOY.

Exclusive items include:
-
Tamagotchi devices with pixel-art BE@RBRICK designs
-
Transparent glitter cases inspired by BE@RBRICK heads
-
A limited 400% BE@RBRICK figure featuring Tamagotchi characters
These items bridge nostalgic gaming with contemporary collectible design.
