teamLab Planets Cherry Blossom Art 2026: Immersive Sakura Universe in Tokyo
Share
Spring in Tokyo isn’t limited to parks and riversides.
At teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM.com in Toyosu, two major installations will transform into cherry blossom versions from March 1 to April 30, 2026.
Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers
This massive immersive space projects flowers that bloom, change, and fade over time.
For spring, the entire universe becomes filled with cherry blossoms.
Unlike a prerecorded video, the visuals are generated in real time by a computer program — meaning every moment is unique.
Visitors can lie down or sit quietly inside the space and experience a continuous cycle of life and transformation.

Drawing on the Water Surface Created by the Dance of Koi and People – Infinity
In this interactive installation:
-
Visitors walk barefoot in shallow water
-
Digital koi swim around them
-
When koi collide with people, they transform into cherry blossoms
The result is a constantly evolving scene where water, movement, and sakura intersect.
